Nice easy read

I love sci-fi/fantasy novels so after reading the premise, I decided to give this one a shot. I liked the different species and the connection between Jason and Aedar, but I really would have loved more detail; about both the world and its inhabitants. The novel was on the short side which did cut down on the ability for that detail I wanted but it was still a nice easy read. It was good for a quick diversion but I was still left wanting more.

2.5 stars - Interesting world but lack of proper details hinders the enjoyment

There were some parts of this story I really liked but ultimately I found it hard to enjoy this one. I liked the way that Jason and Aedar were connected through their mind-link. There are foreign words thrown in that you don't know the meaning of but more than that, I think this story lacks details that would have made it more enjoyable. Since the world isn't very descriptive, I was left mostly confused and frustrated.
I liked the concept of the world and also their transportation (think of the movie Wild Wild West and the giant metal spider) but also the different alien types. There aren't a lot of cyborg stories out there so I enjoyed that aspect of the story. It's an interesting read but a long, more detailed story would have been preferable so that the romance part could have been actually been developed and not just instantly there.

Entirely too short...

This story is more like four and a half stars but I just wished it was longer so that we could get to know the characters more. overall it was an amazing book and I loved the idea of a space traveling storm. I do believe that a sequel would be a great addition to flesh out the universe.
