This is the unrivalled and penultimate book concerning this splendid mausoleum. Detailed without being pedantic and dull, and serious enough to avoid sliding into a maudlin everlasting love story. Excellent drawings, plans and pictures.

So far, the best biography of Taj Mahal. Gardens of Agra during Moghul period do not exist any more, but the author took time to reseach their locations.
