About the Author
Natasha Rogue is a Canadian author who's been writing for most of her life. After penning novels behind math textbooks all through high school, she attended Dawson College in Creative Arts with dreams of becoming a screenwriter. The best teacher she ever had took her aside and told her to go back where she belonged. To her roots with the books she loved to write. Eternal Neverland (Steps Before the Fall) was one of her first complete novels. There are seven books in draft form completed in the series, but they gathered dust until experience and contacts with the right editors and crit partners gave them what they needed to be shared. However, A Breed Apart: The Token, was released through a small press in 2012. The book will be rereleased shortly. You may find Natasha at several signings throughout the year as she writes multiple genres. Don't worry, she doesn't bite. But she will happily chat with you about the hotties who do. And shamelessly admit to liking Charlie way more than she should.

Who can you trust? Where would you look for help?

When I sat down I thought that this was going to be another shifter story. I was not expecting to be sucked in. Natasha has not disappointed me yet. This is a book that I am glad she rereleased!
As a young girl with dreams of becoming a great singer gets lost in a world she did not know existed you can't help but join her. No matter who she thinks she knows she feels that no one can help her. When even her best friend can not help where does she turn! It is a great book for young people to read because it is so right on with the high school life. When the popular boys start to notice this quiet girl things change quickly. The demon that comes in the night will have you checking your own windows every night. Even your parents will not be able to come help you.
I will be telling my friends and family to read this and encourage you to pick yours up today!

A really good read

I gave Token: A Breed Apart 4 stars because it captivated me enough I couldn’t put it down when I was at the gym – yes, any book that keeps my interest so that suddenly 50 minutes flies by without my notice deserves at least 4 stars. That said? I really didn’t like the characters. The story? Fascinating. The characters themselves? Let me put it this way – someone should drop a bomb on their high school. None of the kids would be missed. In fact, their parents would be better off if it happened. (If you read the book, you’ll understand.)
Okay, so I did like one student – James. But the rest of them? So not worth saving. Callie was okay at first. I liked her. Until she gave in and it changed her. Tammy, her supposed best friend? With friends like her, Callie doesn’t need any enemies. And yet, she’s got them. Nick, Tammy’s brother, who wants revenge on his sister and Amy, the quintessential queen bee, was so stereotyped I quickly lost interest in her.
What did keep my interest? The unique paranormal twists in the story. I liked the author’s unique take on shifters, demons, and magi. I’m still of the belief that bombing that school off the planet would be the best thing someone could do for this fictional world, but it was captivating. How captivating? I’ll be waiting for the next book from Ms. Rogue.

Jekyll and Hyde 180 Turn

A Breed Apart is Jekyll and Hyde, Rogue in the beginning half of this book it was awesome, I was very impressed saying wooooow!!!! This is an amazing book. I was in awe over this book, but then the author does 180 turn and I was left saying what the hell just happened. Rogue had a fantastic storyline going on with the 2 revivals, James and Nick wanting Callie and other characters were absolutely amazing is well. I loved Callie’s character in the first half of the book, she was strong, witty, smart and I loved her as the MC. Then magically she disappeared and was gone. I understand what happened to her, but for me you don’t destroy your narrator to the point of no return.
I will recommend this book to some reader only because we all have different tastes in books and this is solely just my opinion. It takes a lot for me to be disappointed in a book, and others might love it. So I will say this is your choose. I wish Rogue would have kept to what she first had going in this book. She really had an awesome story in the first half of A Breed Apart, and I think she is amazing writer, until the Hyde turn. I really wanted to love this book.
